My Mom's 80th Birthday...

My Mom's 80th birthday is next Saturday. Her party is on Sunday. I took her shopping today for a new outfit...and we lucked out with 3 new tops and a pair of pants to go with all of them. She looked very nice in all of them, so I couldn't make her choose just one,,I bought her all them. She'll be the best looking lady at her party. My sister was going to go with, but she came down with the flu or food poisoning....she was not up for leaving her house. But we got the job done and all is well.

When I got home,,,the boys were watching Final Destination III, after had watched I & II. Must of been a marathon on TNT. It was too gory for me to watch. After that we watched Ironman...it was really good.

Well, it's time for me to head off to bed,,,5:10 a.m. comes too early.
Yesterday was a busy day....laundry and bedding. I took Tanner to the football game where his dad was working security. I went to my MIL's to help her with computer stuff. I made a beef stew in the crockpot which made the house smell so good. I did find a few hours to be in my craft room,,but only made 2 cards, I've not scanned them yet, maybe today. I'm meeting my older sister and my Mom to go shopping for her 80th birthday outfit...hope we find something nice for her.

My girlfriend just sent me this sinful Chocolate Cake recipe that I thought I'd share.

5 MINUTE CHOCOLATE MUG CAKE
4 tablespoons flour
4 tablespoons sugar
2 tablespoons cocoa
1 egg
3 tablespoons milk
3 tablespoons oil
3 tablespoons chocolate chips (optional)
a small splash of vanilla extract
1 large coffee mug

Add dry ingredients to mug, and mix well. Add the egg and mix thoroughly. Pour in the milk and oil and mix well. Add the chocolate chips (if using) and vanilla extract, and mix again. Put your mug in the microwave and cook for 3 minutes at 1000 watts. The cake will rise over the top of the mug, but don't be alarmed!

Allow to cool a little, and tip out onto a plate if desired.

Enjoy!

Mommy and baby are doing well, Mommy is just really tired. Daddy is very proud. Cody will be a good big brother. And hopefully Mommy's lil helper.

More cards...

Well, it's Sunday and the weekend is just about over. Time sure flies on days off. I have some vacation days in Nov. and Dec. so I can't wait till then. I hope to get started on my Christmas cards then if not before. I've got about 150 to make. I try to have extras to sell to family and friends.

My Mom's 80th Birthday is in a couple weeks,,,so the family is planning the big party. I had a nice visit with my parents yesterday. The boys had a football game at Linfield, Marty had to work security.

My girlfriend at work,,her daughter will be induced tomorrow morning around 7 a.m., so we should have a baby to love and spoil tomorrow hopefully. His name will be Kyle. And his big brother is Cody. Another baby to love, I can't wait to hold him.

Time for bed. Another long week ahead.
