Moving Day!

Today we moved my parents just across the hall to an apt. that had a smaller bedroom/bath and a larger living room...which will be so nice for visiting, lots more room for our large family. It took about an hr. and we had everything moved and set up...it went so smoothly. Mom and Dad are very happy. It was a good day.

Daytona 500

Today is the Daytona 500,,,and Tanner and I are going to friends for the big race...it will be a sad day as well, because Krista is not here with us to enjoy the race. We all miss her very much, but I know that she is in our hearts and it watching it from heaven.

Snow...

Snow is a bad word in my house....it needs to stay in the mountains. It snowed most of the day...so glad it didn't stick and really make a mess of things. They are saying temperatures down to 30 tonight so that will make for an icy commute for work in the morning...not looking forward to that a bit. Scares me to death actually. Pray for warmer weather thru the night.

Today...

Is my friend Krista's birthday, but we are having to celebrate this day without her. Happy Birthday Krista! I miss her so much. Today is also her youngest daughter's birthday too. Happy Birthday Katelynn. Krista's family and friends are having to deal with all the firsts....holidays, birthdays, Daytona 500, other Nascar races, Mother's Day and every DAY without her. It will be hard for all of us, but we will make it thru them all, one day at a time.

Saturday.

I did do a little stamping today...Christmas images for my Christmas cards for this year...I'm gonna try to get them done early so I can work on more gift ideas closer to the holidays. I stamped about 38 images...so that's a pretty good head start...will have plenty of time to color them in. :)

I'm gonna go to a friends house tomorrow and stamp a little too. Maybe get some coloring done on the images for the cards.

My friend is going thru a tough time right now,,and needs something else to occupy her time,,so what better than to STAMP!!

Monday

Thank goodness, the snow didn't fall for very long and the temperatures warmed up to about 42 degrees,,,so the driving commute to work should be good. I'm going back to work after having 2 full weeks off and a couple days the week before that (snow days). Thankful that I have a job, but not ready to go back....dragging a bit this morning...sleep deprived!

It's SNOWING again :(

The white fluffy stuff is falling from the sky again...I just want to CRY!

Dreading tomorrow...

I'm really dreading going back to work tomorrow....the past 2 weeks have flown by and I really didn't get much done with the snow. I'm thankful that I still have a job to go to, because layoffs happened just before Christmas, corporations are wonderful that way ya know.

I was going to go stamp with a friend today, but I didn't sleep well and woke with a bad headache,,,anxiety I'm sure of what tomorrow brings....WORK. Hope I sleep tonight.

Finally able to get out of the driveway...

OMGosh....2 weeks seems like forever when you are stuck at home when your wheels are snowed in the driveway. Today was the 1st time in 15 days that I could drive my car...I was SO HAPPY! I was singing "I can Drive, I can Drive, I can Drive!!" My son and husband thought I was nuts.

My friend drove Tanner and I yesterday to my sister's for our family Christmas gathering otherwise we wouldn't of been able to make it, cuz we were still stuck in the driveway. Even if we'd of shoveled it out,,,the streets were so bad, I'd of gotten stuck for sure, as I have no chains or studs. My niece and her husband drove us home,,,it was a great day. The kids get so excited when they are opening their gifts.

I have this week off as the company is closed until Jan. 5th, so I hope to get some stamping done and maybe make a few trips to Goodwill after I go thru my cupboards in the kitchen.
